We have been in
the carpet, curtains, upholstery and rug cleaning industry for
over 25 years, working 15 years for the Edinburgh dry-cleaning
company Whites of Liberton, where I became manager of the
carpet, rug and curtain division. In my time there I also
became training & technical advisor for 3M Scotchguard
(Scotland East). In 1997 I started 'Interior Care Services' to
provide a quality and professional cleaning service throughout
Edinburgh & Lothian regions.
Andrew K Dick,
CLEANING: There are several cleaning methods, the
choice depending on many factors, but mainly on type of
article, it's construction, age & condition, the degree of
soiling, location and time available for cleaning to be
carried out. The most common methods are shampooing, hot water
extraction and the use of impregnated compounds, which are
brushed into the carpet and subsequently removed with a vacuum
cleaner (dry-cleaning method). We have the experience and
expertise to recommend the most appropriate method of
achieving the best possible result.
CLEANING: All upholstery is carefully inspected prior
to cleaning. We then decide on the most suitable process
according to the type of material and degree of soiling.
CLEANING: We would inspect and advise you on the best
method of cleaning your curtains, either in situ or cleaned in
our factory. We have a take down and re-hang service.
CARPETS & RUGS: These can be cleaned in situ or
you may prefer to have them uplifted and cleaned at our
factory premises. We will advise you on the most appropriate
method for your particular needs.
